Although registered several years ago, the New Idea Finance Services did not commence services at the time. When, recently, the Sole Proprietor, Senator Professor David Iornem, wanted to activate the firm, he found that the regulatory framework required certain qualifications and licenses. Never tired of learning, he took the challenge and decided to acquire the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers Practicing License as Stock Market Agent. He enrolled for the CIS-SMA Examinations and successfully passed in 2005. He also attended the Capital Market Institute (CMI) training course in Portfolio Management and another course with the Abuja Securities and Commodity Exchange on Commodities Trading. He is a Registered Financial Consultant, a status granted by the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC). He is also registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a capital market operator in the category of Investment Adviser.
With the hurdles of professional qualification in the financial services field crossed, the firm is now set to commence business. New Idea Finance Services will build on the reputation and trust of its founder, Senator Professor David Iornem.
